Justin Calvadores
Justin Calvadores began his dance training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. He then trained at the Arts Umbrella Graduate program under the direction of Artemis Gordon. While in school he performed works of Fernando Magadan, Crystal Pite, and Marie Chouinard. Justin toured Europe with the Arts Umbrella School Company, where he performed an excerpt of Sleeping Beauty by Mats Ek, Beloved Beasts by Fernando Magadan, and Granville Island by Emmanuel Gat in the ITS Festival. He also performed Chorus by Lesley Telford in the Nederlands Dans Theater’s Shortcuts XL’17. Justin joined Ballet British Columbia as an apprentice for the 2017/18 season under the direction of Emily Molnar. As an apprentice, Justin performed and toured works by Sharon Eyal, Emily Molnar, and Medhi Walerski. Most recently Justin participated in a choreographic residency at The Banff Centre for the Arts with Alan Lucien Oyen in setting a modern production of Hamlet.
